Default America Vs Europe

So i heard the vast majority of american guilds (the top GvG guilds) are going Kurzik and the top Europe guilds going Luxon

I have heard rumors, whispers and such about this. Not a lot of comfirmation

anyone willing to confirm or deny this?

personally my american guild was planning on going Luxon but now finding out most are going kurzik so we may change

anyone else?

From what I've heard, most guilds are going Kurzick, which is contrary to what I heard and saw from reading threads (seems Kurzick outnumber Luxon by far, according to district counting).

I know 2 guilds (EW & emt) are going Luxon and they're EU. Not sure about any other high ranked guilds...

yeah it really doesn't look like its going evenly split

We gave our guild members the chance to vote on what way they wanted to go - strangely the poll on our website yielded little compared to the meeting we held for final word.

Until the meeting we were sure it was going to end up Luxon, but the meeting held results of 2:1 Kurzick

*shrugs* I have also heard but I haven't gotten much confirmation.

My guild was planning on going luxon, that was until our alliance decided to be Kurziks...

What the hell is up? It seems like everyone is kurzik now. Why?

It's because they follow the high ranked guilds. Like playing follow the leader.

I wouldn't play the follow the leader game if I were you.

You get the newb Magnet effect.

Top guilds join kurzicks----> Kurzick starts winning----->Newbs join kurzick after getting factions because they win a lot---->Newbs outnumber pros in kurzicks----> Luxon starts winning-----> Guilds are disapointed because they spent a lot of factions toward kurzick and now kurzick is losing.

So ya just go with your favorite faction not whos winning more.

Ya so my alliance is going to form a strong luxon alliance.

LUXON!

Luxon or Kurzick, I don't care at all. We chose Luxon because we allied with them during the FPE. I don't care if we are outnumbered or all the good players are on the other side. I prefer sticking to one side and fighting for them to the end.

What I hate the most is all this crap like "Kurzick are best, Luxon sucks, Luxon are gay" stuff.

Its the wahmo effect, my apologies to any warrior monks with brains, which ever side wins the most in the begining, blast you kurziks, will have the most people. But there will be a luxon comeback we just take longer to get ready.

and today I saw iGi on the luxon side or just some rank 9's with the iGi tag pretending

iGi is luxon, along with several top guilds, KGYU, PvE, Ebay, Rnub the list goes on. But still battles are almost always at etnaaran keys, which means kurziks are winning.

However, I think the guilds that will have the most impact are not the top GvG guilds, but not the huge PvE guilds either. Its the guilds with many members that don't tomb but also don't GvG much so they spend time doing alliance battles and get good at that. Alliance battles are a lot of attrition and time investment.

That's why Te and WM often own a chunk of the Kurzick outposts.

Luxons have a couple other heavy hitters. iQ. EvIL.

My guild is PvE only with the slight acception of some Alliance Battles to dick around. We've not done any since the official release (to my knowledge, I try not to live at the computer ALL the time) but it was all half the guild did during the Factions Preview Event.

I figure that the bottom line is, once the fascination dies down, the two factions will eventually even out.

Alliance battles have a vast area of randomness, so even if a 4 man team from a top PvP guild was playing against 3 teams of 4 mediocre/good players, they could have 2 additional teams of total n00bs on their side and add that with the removal of Team chat for all 12 people on the side of one Faction being able to coordinate (or try to bring order to grand chaos) and the 3 teams of mediocre players could still be triumphant.

It will also matter on the drop rate of players when doing Alliance Battles. People were dropping early in game when it looked like their Faction was going to lose, I think it's too early to guess if too many people are going with one Faction or the other.

yeah i heard about this alliance, however i dont think they will be taking any towns or pushing the lines at all.

It has recently come to my attention that the way to pile up faction to get a town is running repetable quests and doing the challenge missions really well

Seriously. Why would any serious PvP guild waste time farming faction with a stupid FedEx repeatable quest?

The top Guilds and Alliances will probably not bother with the towns at all. Dont you push the lines with 12v12 battles tho? If they manage to fix those so you can play with a full team again, they might just have a heavy effect on them...

Is it just me that chose kurzick because the armour is cooler? Call me fickle but that's all that matters to me in this game :P
